Fees and Tuition

Application Fee

A $90.00 non-refundable Application Fee is due with each application.


The following tuition rates apply for the 2024/25 school year. 3 month tuition/fee deposit is due at time of enrollment. Should a mid-year application be accepted rates will be prorated accordingly.

The Alberta Early Learning and Child Care Agreement (Affordability Grant) will be applied to the Casa and Toddler programs accordingly. Subsidy, should a family qualify, will also be applied.

Any child who does not qualify for funding from Alberta Education will be required to pay the current equivalent value in addition to posted tuition rates. This includes:

  • full-day students enrolled after funding deadline of September 30;
  • students with a primary residence outside of Alberta; and
  • First Nations students (who receive Federal funding).

All rates are per child, ages 5 – 12.

Program Deposit

A $1,500.00 deposit, per child, is due upon acceptance, and retained until the child completes their full program cycle. Program cycles are Primary Cycle (19 months through full-day Casa), Elementary Cycle (grades one through six) and Erdkinder Cycle (grades seven through nine). Upon program cycle completion the Program Deposit will be returned within 30 days.

Withdrawal Policy

Notice of a student’s withdrawal must be given in signed, hard-copy, written, format to the School’s Principal. Email withdrawals will not be accepted. If the Student’s enrolment is withdrawn in writing (signed, hard-copy) on or before February 1 prior to the school year in question, all tuition and care payments will be returned. Withdrawal after February 1 will result in three (3) months of tuition and care payments being retained by MMEC. The retained tuition and fees are absolutely non-refundable. The school’s financial obligations do not change if a student withdraws from the school. 

Upon receipt of withdrawal any cheques or monies owing will be returned to families within 30 operational days of written (signed, hard-copy) notice of withdrawal. Please understand that the School calculates all tuition, fees and salaries based on the full school year. Refunds will not be granted for months with fewer instructional days, occasional sick days, or days that your family may miss for personal reasons.

Upon acceptance, applicable fees can be paid either in one lump sum or monthly.
