In their third year all 5 year old children stay for a full day, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, with two uninterrupted work periods. 5 year old children requiring extended hours may enroll in Before and After School Care.
The full-day program for 3 & 4 year olds operates daily from 8:30 am until 6:00 pm in the Casa classrooms. These programs are staffed by Montessori Guides and qualified assistants who meet MMEC and Alberta Human Services’ requirements. This program includes: work periods, outside play, noon meal and rest time.
At 3:30pm these 3 & 4 year old Casa children will gather for their after school care program, which includes outdoor play, snack and other group and individual activities. A predictable schedule provides security to our full-day children.
Please Note: All Casa aged children must have learned toileting before enrolling.
