Parent Education

Many parents have read books about Montessori and are looking for opportunities to ask questions, learn more details, work with materials, see lessons being presented by the Guides, and have their own "hands-on" experiences.

We feel that parent understanding and support is a key component in your child's success, and strengthens the program. By participating in parent education sessions, you will be better able to:

• understand the Montessori method, philosophy and environment;
• talk to your child about the day's activities;
• understand the concepts behind lessons;
• see the progression and continuity of concepts throughout the program;
• provide compatibility between the home and school environments;
• reinforce and support your child's education;

Whether your family is new to Montessori, or you have been in the program for years, there are exciting new things to learn along with your child. As with the children, we would like to meet you where you are and help you discover all the benefits of Montessori education.
